Coming back two days later to leave a comment bc I had a realization (You know the games good when you can have eureka moment days after playing and not actively thinking about it). Spoilers OHHH THE SCYTHE WAS THE TAIL!! IM CONNNECTING THE DOTS!! What an excellent foreshadow. Wait weren’t they also pink and yellow? …I’m so used to being able to google deltarune things I just tried to google ample deltarune. That did not work out well for me.
Exciting, the opening battle might be a bit difficult for a tutorial fight, but really intruiging premise. If I'm to query where I think this is going, the Laundry Kingdom might actually be a mattress shop in the light world, that might have something going on with it, and the Mike's might have to go to the Light World to do what they need to do in it.
I was not expecting combat?? Also I was a little confused as to why there was a battle tutorial (who's playing this that hasn't played deltarune?) and then I was like OH. Also the save point didn't save that I'd gotten the pass. Anyway I'm excited to see what comes next. (Also, the game window was a little too tall for my screen.) (I'm using a Macbook, was able to run this via Sikarugir, didn't seem to run into any issues on that front.)

SPOILERThe reveal of Ample being FRIEND made me literally throw myself backwards into my seat, roll away like three feet and then get up just blabbering straight BULLSHIT while I felt my heart accelerate, AND THAT FUCKING ENDING WHEN THEY GOT DELETED BECAUSE THEY BROKE GAME ACCESSIBILITY??? IS THAT WHAT AMPLE MEANS BY NEITHER OF US ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE??? IF I THINK ABOUT IT MORE I MIGHT DIE LIKE ACTUALLY
Now for the non spoiler segments:
The demo is a slew of fun! The dialogue between all the characters are all funny, and the characterization and writing of Battat/Greenie, Pluey and Jongler are all adorable and so well made! <3 The gameplay is awesome, I’m sure right now there is a vision that the main gimmick for the soul isn’t so useful in normal attacks but I did think that at least against the boss’s dodgeable attacks that there would be a reward for successfully proc’ing the gimmick maybe like more TP or a small speed boost in return for taking a tiny bit of dmg
The demo has put to the table nothing but extremely high effort, extremely passionate work and I cannot wait to experience more as the story goes on! Take care devs!
Oh my GOD this game. I'm not good at deltarune AT ALL. Mostly consume it through playthroughs n' stuff. But I saw a playthrough of this on my recommended on YT a few days ago, and I refused to watch it, saved the link for when I could get on my computer next. I'm so glad I did. this GAME bro this GAMMEEEEE GHIJGIJGIGUIEFGWYSF the characterization is shockingly good for mike trio content. Again, I'm SHIT at deltarune, but the battle was actually really enjoyable. I love the different FIGHTing mechanics for everyone, and the parry system is both unique AND intuitive. I'm so so SO excited for the first chapter to drop. literally had to make an itch.io account just to say this. splendid game feed me more slop now thumbs up emoji🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

The story was all pretty interesting too! The Mike costumes going missing, and they have to go to outside TV World to go and find it!

Even though the Amble fight and all a bit long and all, and her attacks are a little bit hard for something near the start of the game, and some of the rooms had weird orientation... This fan game is still impressive and I can't wait to see what comes next for my/the Mikes! ^^

This is a pretty fun demo! I find the new combat mechanics pretty unique and the writing is pretty funny! I'll make sure to check out chapter 1 when it comes out.
Incredible so far! The sprite animation is all top notch, def the highlight for me. My one singular complaint is that it being at 60FPS kinda threw me off the whole time, but other than that no notes! Really cute

Very good with interesting characterization of the Mikes. My only minor gripe is that some room transitions flip the perspective the camera looks at the world from (such as the left exit to the room in front of the recording room or the exit right before Tenna's office) which causes some disorientation. Very excited to see where this project goes!
